Jon Taylor – Executive Pastor

Pastor Jon serves as Executive Pastor at LIV Church, helping turn vision into everyday ministry. With a heart for shepherding people and a knack for building healthy teams and systems, Jon oversees operations, discipleship pathways, and volunteer development so our community can “Live in Victory” together. He loves equipping leaders, leading worship, and creating spaces where newcomers quickly feel at home and longtime believers keep growing in faith and service.

Cathy Yopp – Children’s Director & Church Secretary

Cathy Yopp serves faithfully as both our Children’s Director and Church Secretary at LIV Church. With a heart for kids and a gift for organization, Cathy creates a warm, engaging environment where children can learn about Jesus in fun and meaningful ways. She also helps keep our church family connected and cared for through her administrative support and hospitality. Cathy’s dedication, joy, and love for people make her an essential part of the LIV Church team.

Shawn Watson – Men’s Ministry Director

Shawn grew up in the church has been involved in and lead several ministries. He is married to his beautiful wife, Julie, for almost 30 years. They have three teens at home and one adult child that lives out of state. Shawn has a passion to help men grow closer to the Lord and develop a stronger prayer life, based on James 5:16, “Confess your trespasses to one on another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” He currently works full time as an IT Department Head and is always happy to speak “geek” with anyone over a good cup of coffee. He is looking forward to full-time ministry once he retires.

David Yopp – Middle School Pastor

David Yopp serves as the Middle School Pastor at LIV Church, bringing over 15 years of experience in youth ministry across several local churches. He has a deep passion for helping middle school students build a strong foundation of faith, discover their identity in Christ, and grow in authentic community. David is known for his relational approach, practical teaching, and heart for walking alongside students during these formative years. He and his wife are blessed with two children and are excited to be part of what God is doing through LIV Church.

Erik Taylor – High School Pastor

Erik is the High School Pastor at LIV Church with a heart for helping students grow in their faith and walk confidently with God. He has many years of experience working with children and youth in a variety of ministry settings, beginning in Sunday School where he led students through collaborative Gospel discussions that encouraged trust in God and a love for His Word.

Erik has also served in music ministries as a worship leader, helping develop youth involvement through choir and guitar. As a former Sunday School Superintendent, he planned and organized youth groups and events within the church calendar. Outside of ministry, Eric has coached elementary, middle, and high school sports and managed youth sports businesses, giving him a strong passion for mentoring students through leadership, teamwork, and character development.

Michelle Maggio – Hospitality Ministry

Michelle Maggio serves as the Hospitality Ministry Leader at LIV Church, bringing over 20 years of ministry experience across worship, hospitality, and youth ministry. She has a heart for creating welcoming, Christ-centered environments where people feel seen, valued, and connected.

Michelle is a graduate of San Diego State University and a certified California teacher. She is also a dedicated homeschool mother, blending her passion for education, faith, and family into everything she does. Through hospitality, Michelle helps set the tone for meaningful connection and authentic community at LIV Church.
